Delhi Chalo Protest: Delhi Police issued a traffic advisory on Monday (February 12) in view of the proposed farmers’ protest, informing people about restrictions on vehicular movement at three borders of the national capital.
Several farmer unions, mostly from Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Punjab, have called for a march on February 13 to demand a law guaranteeing MSP for their produce.
Buses going to Sonipat, Panipat, Karnal will pass through this route.
Police have said in the traffic advisory that interstate buses going from National Highway-44 towards Sonipat, Panipat, Karnal etc. will go from ISBT to Majnun Ka Tila via Signature Bridge via Khajuri Chowk to KMP via Loni Border and Khekra.
The advisory said that heavy goods vehicles wishing to go towards Sonipat, Panipat, Karnal etc. via NH-44 should take exit number from Harish Chandra Hospital intersection at NH-44 (DSIIDC) intersection to Bawana Road crossing to Bawana Chowk. It is recommended to take 2.
This advice to heavy vehicles going to Bahadurgarh, Rohtak
It said, “Heavy goods vehicles desirous of going towards Bahadurgarh, Rohtak etc. will travel via Outer Ring Road via Mukarba Chowk via Madhuban Chowk via Bhagwan Mahavir Road via Rithala via Kanjhawala Road – Karala T-Point via Kanjhawala Chowk from Jonati Village to Jonati.” Go to the border/Nizampur border and enter village Bamnoli of Haryana and further go through Nahra-Nahari Road to Bahadurgarh Road.
Car drivers and light goods vehicles wishing to go towards Sonipat, Panipat, Karnal etc. via NH-44 should take Exit 1 (NH-44) from Alipur Cut to Shani Mandir, Palla Bakhtawarpur Road Y-Point via Dahisra Gaon Road to Jatti Kalan. By road, one can go from Singhu Stadium towards Sonipat in Haryana on NH-44.
Where will the vehicles going from Ghazipur to Ghaziabad originate from?
The advisory said that vehicles going from Delhi to Ghaziabad via Ghazipur border should take Pushta Road opposite Akshardham Temple or, Patparganj Road/Mother Dairy Road or Chaudhary Charan Singh Marg via ISBT Anand Vihar and exit Maharajpur or Apsara border in Ghaziabad. Can.
It said that heavy/commercial vehicles going towards Bahadurgarh, Rohtak etc. via Rohtak Road are advised to use Najafgarh Nangloi Road from Nangloi Chowk to enter Haryana via Najafgarh Jharauda border.
